In the 1960’s there was a church organization that taught about a place of safety where its believers would be hidden. It was said that the church would flee there to be protected from the events bringing about the end of the world, especially as described in the book of Revelation. Once that was all over, the place of safety would be left behind. The church would emerge to help lead the survivors in rebuilding and teaching the way of truth.
The time given to flee was January 1972. The church was to be hidden for three and one-half years until the Messiah returned in the fall of 1975. The place of safety? Petra, the rose city of Jordan.
But that didn’t happen then, did it? The world has gone on – the end has not already passed. The Messiah has not yet returned. And now (March 2009) it is 37 years later.

Posted: Thu Jul 02, 2009 12:37 pm Post subject: Statistical Tracking.......... |
|
|
Statistical Tracking is the ability to record and analyze the use of a particular website and it's contents.
On this website there are three posts that link to another website on which are posted three Articles.
These links were provided in order to not use the band width of this website due to the size of the articles and allow for the analyzing of how effective is the posting of articles for viewing.
It also provided the opportunity to analyze whether or not the articles are actually viewed and read.
On this website we are constantly monitored by special programs that record new postings and they record the key words by which the browser programs find information on the web, as such it is hard to separate actual new visits of individuals from the visits by the browser programs.
The site on which the linked articles are located allowed for the setting up of a site meter that records each visit and whether or not the visit resulted from a search by the browser program or by an individual, how long was the visit and how many pages were viewed and which articles were viewed.
While the yahsaves website shows:
64 -- visits to :WHICH BIBLICAL FESTIVAL CALENDAR DO YOU CHOOSE TO FOLLOW? posted 04/17/09
78 -- visits to: WHERE ON EARTH IS THE PLACE OF SAFETY?........ posted 06/04/09
190 - visits to: Exactly what are the traditions of the Elders?........posted 06/08/09
The yahsword blog site shows:
4 -- visits to:WHICH BIBLICAL FESTIVAL CALENDAR DO YOU CHOOSE TO FOLLOW?
1 -- visit to:WHERE ON EARTH IS THE PLACE OF SAFETY?........
2 -- visits to: Exactly what are the traditions of the Elders?........
I find that this is totally contradictory to what was multiple requests I received for new articles to be written and posted on the web.
From this I would have to surmise that the search for truth is not as strong as it was in the past. That the individual search for Biblical Understanding for some is just a hobby.
The reason for this conclusion is another statistic, from 04/17/09 to 07/02/09 out of 20 total visits only 5 visitors actually looked at the linked articles
15 of those visits were for 6seconds or less.
It does tell me that raw numbers do not tell the full story. Also just because our website receives a visit does not translate into the visitor actually read and internalized any materials during said visit.
Error and curiosity also contribute to the number of visits.
So don't assume that if a website has a high number of visits it must be reaching a large number of people. |
